The ECB will host the #TIPSapp event on 6 February 2018 in Frankfurt.

Following the decision to develop a new TARGET Instant Payment Settlement (TIPS) service, which will help bring instant payments to everyone in Europe, the ECB launched the #TIPSapp Challenge. We asked you to develop original mobile applications that can be used to initiate instant payments. Of the many who responded, 15 teams were shortlisted to present their prototypes in the marketplace section of the #TIPSapp event. They will be joined by two panels of financial industry representatives who will discuss instant payment services from the perspective of both service providers and end-users.
