Prime Minister of Poland visits the ECB

The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, visited the European Central Bank (ECB) today. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Jan Vincent Rostowski, Minister of Finance, Sławomir Nowak, State Secretary and Head of the Political Cabinet, Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, State Secretary EU Affairs and Beata Lamparska, Deputy Director International Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Office.

During this visit, the Prime Minister and his delegation met with Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the ECB, and other members of the ECB’s Executive Board to discuss matters of mutual interest. Among the topics addressed were the financial market turmoil and its influence on the economy at the global level and in the euro area as well as the situation and prospects of the Polish economy.
